What is Salt Therapy?
Salt therapy (also known as halotherapy) is an effective, natural and drug-free therapy which provides relief from many respiratory and skin conditions. Salt Therapy’s revitalizing effects benefits both adults and children suffering with respiratory and skin issues.
“Halos” literally means “salt” in Greek. Halo-therapy, better known as salt therapy, is the therapeutic use of natural salt in a simulated microclimate, like our halo-booth, which simulates the effects of actual salt mines. Developed as a drug-free treatment by scientists and researchers, salt therapy brings a once inaccessible, natural, healing element from the earth to the doorsteps of our suburban community.
What is a Salt Booth?
A Salt booth is a microclimate designed to simulate the environment of a salt mine. The salt booth is a dry, enclosed, sterile environment that controls air temperature, humidity, air pressure and air content. Our salt booth utilize a halogenerator to crush pharmaceutical grade salt into small particles for inhalation to create the desired microclimate. These dry aerosol micro-particles of salt are then dispersed into our Salt booth during a typical session. As the person relaxes in the Salt booth the micro-particles are inhaled. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli. Germs and pollutants are dissolved as salt enters the lungs and respiratory system by helping to dry mucous and opening the constricted airways..
Why Pharmaceutical Salt?
Pharmaceutical grade Salt is both anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial and has super absorbent properties and contains NO impurities.
Sit back and relax in our comfortable, state of the art salt treatment booth, while a dry mist of rich salts clear your airways. Our Salt booth is a safe, natural method to improve your breathing while soothing your immune system, detoxing your skin and promoting relaxation and healing.
