Pain or an injury is what usually brings people to a Chiropractic office. As Chiropractors, we do not address the pain, but rather address the cause of the pain. In most cases, pain occurring in our back and neck is a result of altered bio-mechanics in our body from our daily activities. Such activities may include poor posture, bending, sitting, walking, running, lifting weights, sleeping without proper support, or stress. Whether your pain is chronic or sudden in nature, Dr. Kristi is committed to doing everything to help alleviate you of your current symptoms and correct the cause of the problem.

By setting realistic and achievable goals for ourselves, we are able to hold ourselves accountable and bring ourselves to an elevated level of fitness and health. Through our personal exercise coaching, we will consult with you and design a program specifically for you. Through our weekly consultations and progress assessment, we will guide, challenge, and motivate you to help you accomplish your fitness goals.
As a child’s nervous system is developing, proper adjustments can promote strong physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This is ideal for dealing with colic, ear infections, and torticollis.
Maternity Care/Webster Technique
Chiropractic care provides an easier labor and delivery as well as natural pain relief due to the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth. The Webster technique is a chiropractic analysis and adjustment which realigns the pelvis and helps restore ligament function. This adjustment helps prevent torsion to the uterus and potential intrauterine constraint allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth. The purpose of the Webster technique is not at all to “turn breech babies” but to reduce tension in the ligaments and joints of the pelvis.
Myofascial and Trigger Point Release Techniques
We use several different muscle techniques including active release and Nimmo technique. During these techniques, both the doctor and patient work together to help repair damaged soft tissue within the body. Myofascial Release Techniques is a particularly therapeutic method for athletes encountering sports related injuries such as tendonitis and overuse syndrome. This technique is not specific for only athletes, they can benefit anyone. Nimmo is a trigger point release therapy and involves putting pressure on a tight, taut muscle fiber. This technique is particularly helpful with our headache patients.
Spinal decompression is a gentle, Chiropractic treatment procedure designed and used for low back pain. Flexion decompression is a traction based therapy in which the doctor is in full control of the treatment at all times. By decompressing the spine, we are able to increase disc space and decrease disc tension resulting in a very rapid relief in symptoms. Spinal decompression is safe and an excellent alternative to back surgery for the vast majority of patients that do not need surgical intervention. It may be used for many low bac conditions including disc herniation, disc bulge, disc degeneration, sciatica, failed back surgery syndrome, and spondylolisthesis.
An Activator instrument is a non-forceful adjusting tool used as an alternative to traditional manipulation of the spine. We typically offer this form of treatment to patients with bone-weakening conditions as they find the activator to be gentle and effective.
Physical Therapy Modalities
We believe physical therapy modalities to be an essential form of therapy for various conditions. Such modalities include electrical nerve stimulation, ultrasound, heat, bio-freeze, ice, and therapeutic exercises and stretches.
Kinesio-taping is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. The elastic, latex-free tape provides extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.
